Museum Professionals Converge for Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum Conclave

Museum Conclave gathers experts from 80 institutions, 36 states/UTs for Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum, fostering collaboration and capacity building in museum management 

The Ministry of Culture organized a three-day conclave for the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum. Held from August 1st to 3rd, the event gathered over 150 participants from 80 institutions across 36 states and UTs. The conclave featured capacity-building workshops led by renowned experts from India and abroad, focusing on essential aspects of museum management and operations. 

Participants engaged in master classes on topics such as architecture, museology, conservation, and curation. Highlights included sessions by Vincent Saulier, Dr. Manvi Seth, and Kate Seymore. The event fostered collaboration between Central and State governments in museum management. State representatives showcased their best collections and practices, with winners selected by critics’ choice and peer review. 

Critics’ choice winners included Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Gujarat. Popular choice winners featured Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, and Rajasthan. Additionally, Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya and Kerala University of Digital Sciences were recognized for university collections. The conclave marks a significant step in developing the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum, ensuring robust stakeholder collaboration.
